Michael Pestano is a visionary leader with over 30 years of cross-sector experience in global sales, strategic marketing, financial services, wellness, and decentralized finance (DeFi). As Director of Strategic Growth & Decentralized Innovation, and an International Custodian for the Bank of Humanity, Michael is at the forefront of integrating ethical finance, blockchain technology, and inclusive development to serve humanity’s most urgent needs.

 

Michael’s career spans transformative leadership roles across North America, including scaling GNC Canada's regional revenue from $2M to $16M and managing top-performing sales teams at Carmax, where monthly vehicle sales grew from 140 to nearly 500 units. He has introduced over 200 consumer health products into major retail chains like Whole Foods and Sobeys, and developed successful e-commerce ventures across Amazon, eBay, and global distribution platforms.

 

With over a decade of deep involvement in decentralized finance, Michael has advised on blockchain innovation, real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, and peer-to-peer digital economies designed to empower underserved populations. His role as an International Custodian at the Bank of Humanity reflects his commitment to stewarding transparent, values-based economic systems that prioritize people and planet over profit. He also serves as Commercial Loans Officer for Our Community Mortgage—bringing together ethical finance, blockchain innovation, and community economic development.

 

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Ateneo de Manila University and is certified in financial planning, fitness, nutrition, and digital marketing. A respected community leader and former President-elect of the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Orange County, he continues to champion initiatives that advance financial equity, human rights, and decentralized global cooperation.
